Organic raw materials

For the love of nature: Organic quality raw materials.

In recent years, the market for organic food has continued to grow in Europe and worldwide. In Germany, for example, it has more than doubled within 10 years. Organic food is considered healthier and more sustainable, as increasing numbers of consumers choose these products. The raw materials used in the process always play a more important role in this.

In line with this trend, we can now also provide our customers with xylitol, erythritol, inulin and dextrose monohydrate in organic quality.

Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol with a similar sweetness level as sugar, which is obtained from wood or corn and is used as a sweetener. Erythritol is also a sugar alcohol with 50-70% of the sweetness of sugar and is obtained from raw materials such as dextrose, fruit or corn. Inulin on the other hand is a vegetable fibre that is obtained from chicory, agave or Jerusalem artichoke and is used as a functional ingredient in food. The sweetness level of inulin is rather low. Dextrose monohydrate (glucose, dextrose) on the other hand is a simple sugar that is obtained from corn and is used in many foods as a sweetener, a humectant agent or for its sensory properties.

To summarise, we can say that the demand for organic food is growing and therefore the demand for organic quality raw materials. We will follow this trend closely and add more organic raw materials to our portfolio
