Psyllium husk powder

Psyllium husks are a purely natural product with a variety of applications in the food industry. Gluten-free bakery products such as bread or pastries, food supplements, medicines, low carb diets, various bars, thickeners for ice cream, frozen desserts, chocolate, jam and various animal feed products.

The seeds from the plant species Plantago ovata, which are mainly cultivated in India or Pakistan, are used to obtain the husks. The husks, which are ground into powder, are tasteless, rich in soluble dietary fibre and can bind large amounts of water.

In the human organism, they naturally alleviate diarrhoea, trigger the feeling of satiety and minimise constipation. Psyllium husks are an ideal binding agent in the production of gluten-free baked goods.
